    Fabulous

I liked the personal service, the cooked breakfast and the free Wi-Fi.

The room and the bathroom were a bit too small and the water in the shower was sparse - not enough pressure to reach the loft I guess.

Had to climb to the top floor even though we asked for a ground or 1st floor room. Wish we hadn't bothered - room just big enough for a double bed, with part of it under the eaves, shaby decor chipped paintwork, 2 draw dressing table I would have chucked out long ago, 3/4 height wardrobe no good for long dresses. OK for climbers, backpackers but definately not fit for general public. Car parking very tight for a vauxhall insignia. The only good thing about it was the owner who was very friendly and breakfast was well cooked.

    Fabulous

Small and friendly guest house very comfortable and Pasqual, the owner, made breakfast an enjoyable and entertaining experience.

    Superb

Our host went above and beyond to welcome and orient us as well as the other guests to all that Stratford-upon-Avon has to offer. His attention to each detail at breakfast was equally thorough, and he spent a great deal of time introducing the guests to each other and making everyone feel at home. His energetic personality and great sense of humor lend real character to this lovely b and B. Highly recommend.

    Exceptional

The owner was very warm, welcoming, and funny! Despite my being late to check in, he still rolled out the red carpet :) He was very informative on the area. Breakfast was great. The room was really pretty and came with tv and wi-fi. The location was perfect for walking downtown. There was free parking available. We liked it so much we wanted to stay another night. He had no rooms available, so he called another lovely guest house and arranged a room for us. Doesn't get any better than that.

    Superb

We had two great nights at the Salamander Guest House. Pascal met us on arrival and gave us a choice of two rooms. We chose room 7 and it was comfortable, clean and the bathroom spotless. The shower was hot and powerful! Pascal gave us a quick and very useful guide to Stratford which saved us a lot of time. The location is excellent and less than ten minutes walk to the RSC theatre and other attractions. Breakfast was great; cereals followed by a lovely cooked breakfast and tea, coffee and toast. On our departure day Pascal allowed us to leave our car until we returned from a mornings visit to the old town for some shopping! A really friendly and safe guest house- we would definitely stay again!

    Fabulous

Staff were friendly and location was ideal.

The shower kept breaking, the toilet wouldn't flush properly and parking was minimal. If all the rooms were occupied, there were not enough spaces.

    Fabulous

Excellent location, friendly host, good breakfast. Would stay again/recommend to friends but NOT to stay in that room.

The room was at the top of the house and very small and not really suitable for a couple, more for children/friends. Not worth the cost.

Friendly and helpful owner. Free parking. Excellent hot breakfast.

Family room is very small. Toilet is very small and needs overhaul. We dreaded taking a bath there. Heating needs to be better in colder months. No in-room safe.

    Fabulous

Pascal the owner, was very helpful from the moment we arrived, showed us al the best places to go in the short space of time we had. Breakfasts were good. Ideal location for city centre sightseeing.

    Exceptional

    - The warm reception and the homely environment. It's almost like a home away from home. - Breakfast was very generous - Pascal was very helpful in suggesting how to maximise the little time we have in Stratford-Uopn-Avon.

    Superb

We had a great stay at the Salamander guest house. It was nice and clean , the family room was perfect for the four of us. Good Housekeeping. Pascal the Proprietor was there for our check in and gave us a good brief of things to do and dine around. He was there serving us Breakfast every morning, a full English Breakfast and was always there to serve and assist, his motto was , we are not a 5* where you have to help yourself. On a day when my son was ill , he took the initiative to make an appointment with the doctor and helped us , Which was very nice and helpful., Would recommend the Guest House for certain.

The guest house was nice and clean. Highly recommended! If I were to come back to this town again, I would definitely choose the Salamander Guest house again. Cosy and comfort room, parking space, few minute walk to town. Really friendly and warming welcome from the owner, family-liked!
